MEA membership includes career managers from the managerial, confidential and original jurisdiction employees in all city agencies (mayoral and non-mayoral) and authorities.
Dues are $12 each pay day for active members and can be paid through authorization for dues deduction bi-weekly through payroll. Dues may also be paid in full by check for $312 direct to MEA.
Retirees need to sign up again for dues check-off when they retire and pay $40 a year, or $3.34 a month from their pensions.
Dues are tax deductible (unreimbursed business expense).
